Comments:  A view of the former House chamber inside the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery. Both the House and Senate moved into another building in 1986. The chamber has been restored to its 1861 appearance. Designed by Barachias Holt and completed in 1851, the Greek Revival building, which served as the first capitol of the Confederacy, is a National Historic Landmark.
